Frequently Asked Questions
What is Pakman Studios?
Pakman Studios is a one-person operation run by me, Sonny Pak (Pakman). I specialize in designing high-quality, realistic golf courses for GSPro. Using advanced LiDAR and satellite data, I bring real-world courses to life with accuracy and detail. Learn more about me and my work on my About Page.
Who can benefit from Pakman Studios’ services?
My services cater to:
Golf enthusiasts who want to play their favorite courses virtually.
Businesses with golf simulator bays seeking premium courses.
Golf course owners looking to showcase their courses in GSPro.
What are the design options available?
I offer three levels of course builds:
Lite: Focused on playability, with minimal details.
Silver: Balanced design with additional details like structures and paths.
Gold: High-detail builds with satellite-based textures and enhanced realism.
How much does it cost to commission a course?
Pricing varies based on the level of detail:
- Lite: $1700–$2200
- Silver: $2200–$2700
- Gold: $2700–$3500+
The price range reflects the complexity and unique features of each course. A 9-hole course is approximately two-thirds the price of an 18-hole course. For more details on design options and what’s included, check out the FAQ on Design Options.

Private Servers & Patreon Pages: How Do They Work?
What Are Private Servers?
Private servers allow GSPro course designers to host exclusive content, separate from the general GSPro server. This is a limited and special privilege granted to designers who demonstrated early and sustained contributions to the GSPro community, particularly during its formative years when we could still name most of the courses on GSPro.
Who Are the Designers with Private Server Privileges?
Currently, only four designers operate private servers with permission to host exclusive courses, and all of us use Patreon to manage subscriptions for access:
– Tekbud Designs (Brent Wells)
– Runpuddrun (Judd Shea)
– Pakman Studios (me)
– The Golf Boy
These private servers reflect the significant efforts made by these designers in shaping the GSPro course library during its early growth. Additionally, the number of exclusive courses on a private server cannot exceed the number of courses the designer has made available on the general GSPro server.
What About Patreon Pages?
Many GSPro designers are starting to use Patreon to gain support for their work, which is a fantastic way to help new talent grow in the community. While these designers may not have private server access or exclusive courses, they are using Patreon as a platform to:
– Accept donations to support their efforts.
– Build a community of supporters who help them refine and improve their craft.
These Patreon pages are an important part of expanding the GSPro community, encouraging new designers to develop their skills and bring fresh ideas to the platform. Supporting them is a great way to contribute to the growth of the course library and the overall GSPro ecosystem.
The distinction here is key:
Private Servers: Operated by the four designers listed above and include exclusive course content tied to a Patreon membership.
Patreon Pages Without Private Servers: May offer other benefits like design input or general support but don’t include exclusive courses or private server access.
Private servers remain a unique and significant aspect of the GSPro community, showcasing the work of designers who made early and sustained contributions to the platform’s growth. All four of us use Patreon to manage subscriber access, ensuring a streamlined way to share exclusive content with our supporters.
